Upon the completion of the archeological digs on the southern side of the Temple Mount, the Water Gate and Mikva paths were conceived and built to allow public access to and explanation of the actual archeological artifacts and area. The paths themselves float above the intricate multilevel "tel" of ancient civilizations.
